The Passion of McQueen is a musical investigation into the final hour in the life of a creative genius. It’s the early morning of February 10, 2010, and celebrated fashion designer Lee “Alexander” McQueen is visited by his one-time muse and benefactor, Isabella Blow. His beloved “Issie” guilts him into making her a dress, not just any gown, but a work of art that surpasses his previous creations. As Lee fights through exhaustion and self-destructive behavior, and Isabella admits to the true intention of her visit, a creative partnership is pushed to a tragic conclusion.

The Passion of McQueen was developed at Boston Court Theatre in Pasadena with director Diana Wyenn, baritone David Castillo and mezzo-soprano Peabody Southwell.
