WANDERLUST, an old-fashioned musical with a global pop sound, takes us to an anything-goes Sydney backpacker’s hostel, where a homesick student, seductive surfer, bored influencer, debonair rogue, oblivious billionaire - and his put-upon assistant - lie, cry, and dance their troubles away!
THE RAVAGES
Listen to The Ravages: A Love Story, an audio drama produced by Theatre of Note.
”If you love your sci-fi with a sprinkling of romance, and enjoy gorgeously layered sound design, The Ravages is the best fiction podcast to listen to.”

Scripting 101 is a weekly workshop for both aspiring and experienced writers, with assignments for those us - all of us - who thrive under deadlines. Whether you’re working on a play or a tv pilot, a short film or a podcast series, we will help you find the structure for the story you want to tell.

Mark Saltzman is an Emmy-winning writer who recently received two Drama Desk nominations for his Off-Broadway musical Romeo and Bernadette. William Nedved is a writer and writing teacher whose musical Medusa was recently developed at The Getty Villa with Deaf West Theatre.

“I used to think teaching was about conveying information. Now I know it’s about igniting conversation.”
William Nedved (he/him)
WILLIAM NEDVED wrote the book and lyrics to the musical comedy Wanderlust, part of the 2024 Chicago Musical Theatre Festival at Steppenwolf Theatre.
Other collaborations include the audio play The Ravages with Theatre of NOTE (“One of the best fiction podcasts,” Readers Digest); Medusa: The Musical with Deaf West Theatre at the Getty Villa; the opera The Passion of McQueen at Boston Court Pasadena with Project Runway winner Kentaro Kameyama; Closet Drama for the 2018 LAMBDA Literary Fest; and Fact & Fiction at the Hollywood Fringe (“Best of 2011,” Variety.)
In 2001, Nedved co-founded The Gift Theatre Company of Chicago, an Equity ensemble recognized by the State of Illinois House of Representatives as a cultural anchor and economic engine to the northwest side neighborhood of Jefferson Park. The Gift premiered his plays Body + Blood (“Very funny and strikingly poignant,” Chicago Tribune); Northwest Highway (“Heartbreakingly honest,” Time Out - American Theater Critics Association Best New Play nomination); A Young Man in Pieces; County Fair; and several short plays for the annual Ten Festival.
Nedved received his BA in playwriting at the University of Iowa, his MA in theatre studies at the University of New South Wales Sydney, and his MFA in film and television writing at the University of Southern California.
He teaches screenwriting and film studies for BFA and MFA students at AMDA Los Angeles and co-teaches a popular story structure workshop with Emmy-winner Mark Saltzman. Nedved also leads weekly writing and devising workshops for older adults as part of the Wallis Annenberg Center for the Performing Arts Creative Aging Program.
